Role Description:
A new Tyler Perry feature film is currently casting background talent in the Atlanta area. The production is seeking individuals with strong on-camera presence, reliable availability, and the ability to follow direction on set. Roles include general background and specialty background based on production needs.
Applicants should be local to Atlanta or willing to self-report. No prior acting experience is required, but professionalism is expected.
Project Description:
According to Netflix, Tis So Sweet will star Taraji P. Henson. The upcoming Netflix film Tis So Sweet, is described to be an inspiring true story produced through Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin’s faith-based partnership with the Netflix streaming platform. The film, which also features Joey Bada$$, marks the second collaboration between Perry and Franklin under their Netflix deal. Tyler Perry has quite a few movies filming in and around the Atlanta area this year.
Based on the remarkable real-life story of Lenore Lindsey, Tis So Sweet follows a Chicago bakery owner whose life takes a miraculous turn after an unexpected discovery forces her to confront her past, heal old wounds, and rediscover her sense of purpose. For more on that story, see the USA Today piece. The story first captured national attention when it went viral in November 2024…so, now that story will be coming to Netflix as a feature film, probably next year, 2026.
